In Nepal, there used to be an exchange called MEX Nepal and Nepal Investment Clearing House (NIC House) Pvt. Ltd. where people could trade commodities a few months ago. At that time, there were two brokers facilitating commodity trading in Nepal. However, currently, there are no brokers available. Nevertheless, SEBON, the regulatory authority, has invited applications for pre-approval to become a broker for the commodity market exchange in Nepal. Four companies have applied for this pre-approval. You can find updates on SEBON's website. According to SEBON, only two brokers will be approved to operate as commodity exchange brokers in Nepal. At present, we do not know which companies will receive the pre-approval to become commodity brokers in Nepal.
